Dolomite's Standard Range of Microfluidic Valves

Dolomite offers a range of standard microfluidic valves to help you evaluate your microfluidic concepts quickly and accelerate your time to market. If these solutions do not meet your requirements, just let us know and we can discuss how we can work with you to help meet your needs.

Dolomite can provide the following microfluidic valves - off the shelf

Valve Chip Holder
Part Number (3000138)
Download Product Datasheet

The Valve Chip Holder is specifically designed to hold a chip with one etched glass layer and a removable polymer diaphragm.

A gas pressure supply can be connected to the holder for pneumatic actuation of the diaphragm.

Benefits
  • Small footprint
  • Low dead volume
  • Quick interconnect
  • Easy control of back pressure
  • Wide temp/pressure range
  • Excellent chemical compatibility

Micro Shape Memory Alloy Valve
Part Number (3000181)
Download Product Datasheet

The Micro Shape Memory Alloy Valve is very compact and light weight. It is especially suitable for low power consumption applications as it can perform with less than 0.3W power.

The shape memory alloy actuation mechanism is completely silent and moves more slowly than conventional solenoid valves.

Benefits
  • Very low power
  • Incredibly small size
  • Low internal volume
  • Silent operation
  • High chemical resistance
  • Pressure range up to 0.8 bar
  • Ideal for integration into microfluidic systems

Micro Isolation Solenoid Valve
Part Number (3000173)
(3000174)
(3000175)
(3000176)
Download Product Datasheet

The Micro Isolation Solenoid Valve is ideal for integration into microfluidic systems due its very small size and ultra low internal volume of 1.1µl.

The size allows valve mounting areas and flow path lengths to be minimised. The PEEK body and perfluoroelastomer diaphragm ensure that fluid only meets with inert materials.

Benefits
  • Very low power
  • Incredibly small size
  • Low internal volume
  • Silent operation
  • High chemical resistance
  • Pressure range up to 0.8 bar
  • Ideal for integration into microfluidic systems

Miniature Isolation Solenoid Valve
Part Number (3000177)
(3000178)
Download Product Datasheet

The Miniature Isolation Solenoid Valve has a slim 6mm wide design enabling valves to be mounted in a small space. This keeps the flow path length small

A series of these valves can be connected together using the through holes provided in the valve body for easy manifolding. The low internal volume of 10µl (each port) makes these valves ideal for microfluidics.

Benefits
  • Incredibly small
  • Low dead volume
  • High chemical resistance
  • Pressure range up to 1 bar
  • Create manifolds by linking valves together
  • Ideal for integration into microfluidic systems

Isolation Solenoid Valve
Part Number (3000179)
(3000180)
Download Product Datasheet

The Isolation Solenoid Valve is designed for use with a wide range of media. The PEEK body and perfluoroelastomer diaphragm ensure that the fluid only comes into contact with inert materials.

The low internal volume makes these valves well-suited for microfluidics.

Benefits
  • Compact design
  • Low internal volume
  • Excellent chemical compatibility
  • Pressure range up to 2 bar
  • High temp operation
  • Ideal for integration into microfluidic systems
